Application Overview
The Nanoscience and Microsystems (NSMS) REU program accepts applications from undergraduate students in their sophomore and junior years majoring in chemical engineering, chemistry, materials science, ceramics, biomedical engineering, physics and mechanical engineering.
The 2019 NSMS REU program DID NOT RECEIVE FUNDING. We will apply agian and hope to obtain funding for the program tenative dates: May 28th - August 2rd, 2020. PLEASE CHECK BACK DECEMBER 2019 FOR UPDATES, WE WILL UPDATE THE WEBSITE AS WE LEARN MORE.
Students will receive a stipend of $5,000 and a travel allowance up to $600. The program also provides apartment-style housing at UNM, as well as many fun activities for the students.
Applications are not reviewed until all materials have been received by the REU program.
